I doubt there is any real benefit.

What are the benefits of doubts?
by psyco inwhat are the benefits of having created the human mind being able to have doubts inside (or regarding) the true religion (jude 22)?.
because if you have doubts, you are not sure, so it is difficult to believe and trust.
and if it is difficult to believe and trust, it is even more difficult to have faith since it is the "assured" expectation of what is hoped for (hebrews 11:1).

WT's Impact on Children
by Sea Breeze inwhat is your opinion of the wt's impact on children?.
here, children get to connect the dots and see what will happen to you if you are disobedient.

When I turned around 14 or 15 (1977 or 78) I no longer believed the WT because of the false prophecy for 1975. So, I tried making some friends in the neighborhood. I would come home around 8 or 9 pm (not late) and everything from my bedroom would be in the front yard.... clothes, matttress everything. Happened at least twice.
Those evil worldlings were stealing their son.

My mothers grandmother (first ancestor JW) immigrated to the USA from Sicily about the time this Precursor to the Awake magazine was written. It seems like something from Mad magazine.

Directions that don't make sense to us
by Longlivetherenegades inat times those appointed to take the lead may give direction that does not make sense to us.
however, jehovah blesses obedience.
.......watchtower november 2021 study article 47 paragraph 11. for example:for example: so the king(david) said to joab go take a census of israel (2 samuel 24: 1.....) .

There, I fixed it. Should I apply to Bethel?

The One Way Speed of Light Could Be Instantaneous
by Sea Breeze inphysics students learn the speed of light, c, is the same for all inertial observers but no one has ever actually measured it in one direction.
assuming that light travels the same speed in all directions is a convention, rather than an experimentally verified fact.
this really challenges what we think we know.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptn6ewhb27k&ab_channel=veritasium .

- The one-way speed of light is unresolvable, because a precise measurement requires a clock at either end and at the level of accuracy that is needed, the two clocks won't give exactly the same reading at two different locations because of the very nature of the universe.
- TD:
- If you want to describe precisely when and where something takes place, you need four coordinates: three spatial ones and one temporal one, i.e., time.
- Einstein taught us that time is relative for each and every observer, and there's no such thing as "absolute time".
Kinda makes the creative days in Genesis a non-issue. Whose time was it?

Mind control
by joao inwt has really been doing a great job at mind-controlling their members.
how can people who say they are your friends not even want to know why you're leaving when you want them to know?!
eh!

How can people who say they are your friends not even want to know why you're leaving when you want them to know?
Simple, because they worship an idol who can do no wrong in their mind. Idolatry has plagued man since almost the beginning. It is very seductive.

How far do we get away from 1914
by PimoElder inhow far do we get away from 1914 before they have a new light and admit it was all wrong?.
they cling to the old theory of the 77 week prophecy from the wrong date that jerusalem was destroyed .
with the overlapping generations nonsense still we are getting too far away from 1914. what will they say if we get to the 2030s and they still cling to 1914?.

as I said before I like the good things about being in the org
Like:
No birthdays
No blood (early death for some)
No Homecoming games in High School
No mothers day
No school soccer growing up
No fathers day
No gospel music
No Thanksgiving
No school football growing up
No celebrating Jesus' birthdayNo school basketball growing up
No friends who are not JW's
Knocking on people's doors starting at age 5-7 and teaching them the heresy that they can be God's Friend by running faster, jumping higher and trying harder even though scripture says that "by the works of the Law shall no flesh be Justified".
No military
No Freedom to Question anything the GB dictates
No flag salute ("under God")
No praying with other believers
No Prom Night for Students
Never seeing certain family members ever again
Knocking on people's doors starting at age 5-7 and teaching them the heresy that they cannot get their sins forgiven through the new covenant (Mt. 26: 27-28)
Never seeing your family ever again if you like to have an occasional cigar
No freedom to repent without a submission to a priesthood-like confessional
No Voting
No Valentines Day candy when you are a kid
No doubting human leaders
No allegiance to "Christ Alone" (must include creepy fat old men)I grew up in this tomb and even regular pioneered. I've seen what it does to children, families and lives. You are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
Enjoy your mental illness.
